The Hermosa Beach Consulting Group is a consulting
firm which works with its clients to address the complex
issues surrounding SAP application security. We utilize
flexible best practices methodologies which mesh with
the various systems integrator approaches, clients'
business needs, business process controls, and current
regulatory requirements.
HBCG is actively seeking professionals to join and grow
with our firm with opportunities currently available across
the US. At this time, we are seeking Full-Time employees who
will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to
the following:
- Lead and manage the Security Team
- Establish the most effective methods of translating business needs into technical security specifications
- Ensure that Security and Business Process as well as technical (interface and development) teams are working together with mutual understanding oimportance of input from each other
- Effectively plan and manage SAP Security implementation initiative
- Actively participate in development and documentation of SAP security policies, standards and guidelines
- Develop and execute Knowledge Transfer plan
- Provide opinions and advice, and counsel on variety of security topics
- Take responsibility for or participate in a variety of ad-hoc information security projects that are dictated by current business and technical developments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of information technology experience, with at least 5 years experience in SAP Security
- Experience in role-based security implementation for SAP R/3 and component systems (BW, SEM, BCS, CRM, EBP, Portal) a must
- Familiarity with SAP GRC (formerly Virsa), SOX tools, Security-related controls experience with emphasis on Segregation of Duties (SOD)
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and/or COSO
- Successful management of medium to large SAP Security implementation projects that demonstrate innovative applications of technology, ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of business and technical professionals, interaction with senior management, and on-time, on-budget performance
- Proven ability in leading a team of security analysts
- Experience in SAP R/3 and component systems (BW, SEM, BCS, CRM, EBP, Portal) security design, implementation, and production support
- Expertise with various SAP R/3 modules and component systems
- Ability to support a phased roll-out; support end users and project team in live environment, while supporting on-going implementation and cut-over activities
- Experience in Issue resolution techniques and root cause analysis of security failures
- Understanding of segregation of duty concerns with respect to application security implementations
- Experience in identifying and applying security best practices and assist in developing supporting policies and procedures
- Experienc in assisting technical teams, Interface and Developers, to ensure consistency with client's data security policy
- Ability to resolve complex problems relating to SAP security system configuration
- Ability to identify and recommend processes to ensure clients can successfully manage the design and implementation
- Ability to understand business processes and assist with security-related design decisions
- Experience in supporting business risk mitigation strategies through the implementation of security controls
- Experience in documenting processes and performing knowledge transfer/training to client team members
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and excellent communication skills
- Recognized as self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and dependable; a team builder and a team player
- Familiarity with project tools, such as MS Access, MS Project, CATT scripting, Quick Test, testing tools and help desk support application
- 4+ years experience in the areas of public accounting, internal auditing or
consulting
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Information
Systems Administration or related field.
- CPA, CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP a plus
- Open to travel requirements (the qualified candidate does not need to live
in Los Angeles, but must be willing to travel extensively)
